Paul refers to our body as an earthly "tent" and notes that we "groan" while living in it as we look forward to a heavenly "house." He writes that despite the pains of our decaying body, the inner person is being renewed day by day, and everything is working toward an "eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison." With all this in mind, and more, the Christian walks by faith.
Jesus proclaimed that the kingdom of heaven was at hand, and He indeed established His rule by overcoming the powers of Satan, even death. From that time until today, people are invited into the kingdom to serve Jesus the King and receive the benefits of His rule. He is coming back to take His loyal subjects with Him into "His heavenly kingdom." Are you ready?
It seems, these days, that we have trouble living in the moment. Opportunities are lost because of schedule demands and our being busy with so many things. Jesus lived in the moment. He truly knew that good things happen only NOW and not later. He seized the opportunities of the moment to do good, teach, honor God and even savor a good thing. We need to learn from Him.
