Still Learning

Discipleship is a learning and doing process. The Word of God styles this in many different ways: putting off the old and putting on the new; going on to perfection; growing into a mature man; bearing fruit, et al. Even after a certain level of maturity is achieved, the learning and growing is not to stop. A disciple can become Christ-like but never achieve the incomparable perfection of the Master.
Peter urges his readers (Note: no singling out of the babes from the mature) to avoid being carried away into error by continuing to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” In what areas do you need to keep growing? Where are you deficient? I know that I have areas in which I can do a lot better. If we’re honest, each one of us can still be learning...
